Team 2090

Team Goals

Our goal has been to create a student centered team, which provides the most compelling engineering and technology experiences possible for high school students. The majority of graduating students who have participated in the Punahou FIRST team pursue college degrees in engineering, science and technology fields.

Team’s FIRST Impact

Team 2090 is proud to have supported the growth and success of FIRST in the State of Hawaii. Team leader Aaron Dengler was one of the founders of the Hawaii FIRST LEGO League Championship. The team has sponsored numerous workshops in the 2009 season: a series of three LabView workshops for FRC mentors, workshops for FLL New Coaches, Referees, and Judges training.

Team 2090 makes its workshop facilities available to and local team in need of assistance. This year we are mentors to Mid-Pacific Institute and Waipahu High School. The team puts on FRC Robotics demonstrations and information sessions at community events including the Hawaii FLL Championship, The Hawaii Children's Museum, and the Sacred Hearts Academy Science Symposium.
